The Piccolo America becomes a Foundation!
Since our establishment as an Association, we have always related and dialogued with public and private entities, national and international, within or outside the film industry, proposing a new model of cultural institution through a recognizable action and voice.
Over the years, our reality has grown, increasing the number of managed spaces, projects, and people who work and animate it. The assembly of members has therefore deemed it necessary to transform the Piccolo America into a non-profit Foundation, to ensure full alignment with the evolution of its activities, with a perspective not only local but also national.
As a Third Sector Foundation, we will continue to work for the safeguarding and requalification of cultural spaces, the enhancement of the cinematographic heritage, and the implementation of socio-cultural interventions, with attention to the reduction of economic and social inequalities. If the choice of establishing ourselves as an Association in 2014 allowed us not only to undergo but also to use bureaucracy itself to carry out many of the battles undertaken, the new structure will also guarantee further credibility to every interlocutor from today.
ps: thanks to the legal personality of the Foundation, it will also be possible from now on to make donations to support our reality, both by individuals and legal entities, benefiting from tax deductions, as well as continuing to allocate 5 x 1000.
